A link about censorship and cinema

Hi all!
Maybe someone will be interested in deepening the topic of censorship. Unfortunately the website is in French but I'm sure you will understand a lot. It is incredibly good and complete and, anyway, it can give you some ideas.

This is from "Nuovo cinema paradiso".
Here the main character watches for the first time all the cut-scenes from films of his childhood. These have been hidden from the priest of the village because was deemed "immoral" by him..

Regarding Antonio's post:
your link is exactly the scene I was talking in my post about Conde's lectures...
A very nice film and an excellent example of censorship!

hi everybody
Thanks to Dott.Gialdroni, i read about censure et cinéma. It is a very interesting story about how the society increased and then decreased the censorship in cinema...Pornography, but especially violence, revolution (due to the wars and not to discourage the troops, like in Vietnam or Civil War in Algeria for instance).. I saw some months ago the most censured film of the world, "Cannibal Holocaust" and I read on Wikipedia that The filmaker wrote on the actor's contract not to show out until two years after the movie came out, just to let the people think that this was a true story!!!In fact, a trial started against him, because juges thought that the actors were really dead, as a kind of Snuff Movie (where real , sexual or not scenes are filmed and then are followed by the death , live!)..So he had to dig out the actors to show it was a fiction. Althought, the atrocity is that, to be more "realist", the filmaker Deodato filmed real executions and torture on animals an have been convicted for that. And just for this the filmaker should have been censored, in the respect of the animals. Because at this point , it simply becomes a Voyerism.
thank you all!
